Dear WellPower community,

Please note that our 2024 PowerUp, Denver! event, scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, has been cancelled.  

This is for a few reasons. As behavioral health funding at the state level is undergoing significant change, we are being even more mindful of how we steward our resources. Additionally, we are making a lot of exciting progress with our merger with Jefferson Center, and we have determined that holding an event like this does not quite fit with where we are in that process.

Most importantly, this is a time of challenging and important conversations, including at Auraria Campus, where the event was scheduled to be held. The purpose of PowerUp, Denver! is to celebrate connections and well-being together. Because we strongly believe in the principles of community-centric fundraising and engagement, we feel we would not be responding to the current needs and priorities of the community if we proceeded with the event at this moment.

While we are disappointed to have to cancel this year’s event, we feel it’s the right thing to do. Thank you to all who were planning to attend or to volunteer your time. We look forward to hosting more events in the future.
